The book I read is "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." I read this more than a year ago but I've read it and seen it's movie many times so I can remember it very well. The book is written by Roald Dahl, she I really like and think that his books are very creative and interesting. The book was about a poor boy named Charlie who is very kind and friendly. However, he was so poor that he ate a chocolate once a year, on his birthday. He lived with two grandfathers, two grandmothers, father and his mother.
One day, the biggest chocolate factory in the world, witch was 'Wonka', owned by a strange guy named Willy Wonka put 5 golden ticket in the chocolate to invite 5 children to the factory. Charlie and Joe, his grandfather wanted to go to the factory but they didn't have enough money to but a chocolate. However, one day Charlie found some money on the street bought a chocolate and got the golden ticket. Charlie and grandpa Joe decide to go to the factory.
The five kids going to the factory were Violet, Augustus, Veruca, Mike and Charlie and except for Charlie, they were all very selfish and rude. Because of their bad attitude, they got punished by each different ways. Augustus fell into a chocolate waterfall, Violet became a huge blueberry, Veruca fell into a huge garbage can and Mike became as tiny as a finger. Now, there were only Charlie left. He was the winner to get the whole factory.
However, Charlie refuses to own the factory because Willy Wonka said that he won't be able to live with his family when he own the factory. Willy Wonka said that he couldn't understand him and went back to the factory. Few days later, Willy Wonka and Charlie met and Charlie brought him to Willy's father. Even he said that he couldn't understand Charlie, he was glad to meet his father because Willy had left his home when he was a little boy. At the very end of the story, Charlie got a house in the factory and live there with his family and Willy Wonka.
In my opinion, even the book describes Charlie as a kind, nice boy who loves his family a lot, I don't think that he's all good. That's because, if he was a nice boy, he would find the owner of the money and give it back but he didn't and bought a chocolate with it. I agree with that he loves his family a lot but I don't think he is a honest kid.
